The Tarboro and Princeville areas suffered the most devastating flooding
in Eastern North Carolina
Many thanks to John Jenkins of Tarboro for
contributing many of these extraordinary pictures

Note water line indicated by the brown stain.
Very little clean up of the streets has been completed in Princeville
Large groups of volunteers have spent their Christmas holidays
helping the people of Princeton pull out the still reeking and molded
furnishings and structural debris onto the streets.
Just about every house in Princeville sustained unbelievable structural damage
from the current of the River as well being underwater for a week.
It is hard to believe these homes can be build back.
